Think....

(so...
here we go... this is on few experiences i had at Leisure World yesterday and the way i see about them. The picture was captured by me few minutes before we paddle the boat under the bridge of the park..)

The sun is going down among trees and the full moon is rising, it was a nice time for a boat ride, the chilly air and the silent environment made it a perfect evening!

As the crowds were heading back home the park was getting isolated…

Only one event was left for us, it was the boat rides,which all of us didn’t want to miss, and again who will miss it in a nice evening like that?
So we headed that way…
The sound of the water was disturbed by a cry of a baby; finally we reached the edge of the water, to the place where we get in to boats.People are still moving across the bridge it was such a nice time. We were waiting a boat to come.

The sight of few empty plastic water bottles floating on the water made me feel so upset, why don’t our people think about our nature? Yea it is a private park and people will clean it; still it shouldn’t be the way, there were dust bins everywhere so why can’t they put their dump in to a bin?

Its so sad situation we have such a nice country but we as Sri Lankan people don’t try to protect the beauty of it. Once I was near the crescent swing a person came with an empty cup of soft drinks and for the surprise of all the people around that person dumped the cup in to a covered box which was there to cover a tree. The good part is the garbage can was not 2 meters away!!

This is only two incidents but how many of these things happen during a single second through out country??
If we do not think about the nature who will? What will be left for our future generation?

Having all the questions in mind got in to the boat … peddling through the silent water made it an unforgettable evening.

But still I have a lot of problems within me….

Why can’t all of us think about our mother nature? Why cant people understand the value of the nature? Why people pollute the environment they live? Why… why… the list of questions has no ending…

So finally I would like to say this is our nature we should not wait till anyone else does it. We should start it individually; if we think that “I should protect our mother nature” I think we can do a better job. So my friends lets join hands to protect our nature!!!!
